The XT-Auto device is an Auto-Titrating Positive Airway Pressure (APAP) device, which adjusts the airflow pressure according to the patient’s breathing patterns throughout the night. This means that the pressure is immediately adjusted based on the extent of airway obstruction, which ensures that only the minimum necessary air pressure is used at any one time, allowing the patient to rest more comfortably during treatment. The XT-AUTO can react to any set of respiratory events by accurately delivering pressure, increasing when necessary, to optimise treatment and hence alleviate daytime symptoms. |
